WE'VE GOT IT: NEW SRAM X0 AXS CASSETTE

Sram has launched in the first quarter of the year two new MTB wireless groupsets. These are two new high-earning groups:

  • Sram XX Eagle
  • Sram X0 Eagle

The new Sram X0 cassette has a weight of 379g, 12 speeds and a ratio of 10,12,14,16,18,21,24,28,32,38,44,52

We have had the opportunity to weigh the cassette of the most "economical" group, and we anticipate that the result is very good. It has thrown in a weight of 379g, which is only 3g more than the previous Sram XX1 Eagle cassette (XG-1299-B1) and 8g more than the current Shimano XTR CS-M9101.

These figures may seem insignificant, but they are not if we take into account that in order to achieve that weight, Shimano had to resort to manufacturing the three upper crowns in aluminum (the new X0 only has the largest crown in this material), and that the Sram XX1 Eagle (XG-1299-B1) scaling was totally unreasonable, going from 42 to 52 in his last two crowns.

Here we leave you the scale weights of all the cassettes we have talked about:
